AI voiceover and narration for screen recordings

Upload any recording, silent or narrated. Vorec writes clear narration for every step and voices it with a natural, human-sounding narrator perfectly timed to your clicks. Sounds pro. Looks pro. No mic needed.

Then make it yours in the built-in editor: edit any line, add background music, zooms, cursor effects, captions and callouts.

What Vorec's AI does

  1. Analyzes your video. It looks at what is on screen and what changes, so it knows where each step starts and ends.
  2. Extracts the actions. Clicks, typing, page changes and scrolls become a list of steps. With the Vorec Recorder, the actions are captured while you record.
  3. Writes the narration. One clear line for each step, in the tone you choose.
  4. Syncs the voice. Each line plays at its step. If a line needs more time, Freeze-Sync can hold the frame.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can AI narrate a screen recording I already made?

Yes. Upload the recording, silent or with voice. Vorec's AI analyzes the video, finds each step, and writes and voices the narration. You review the script before you export.

Can I add narration to a silent screen recording?

Yes. That is what Vorec is built for. You don't speak and you don't write a script: Vorec writes the narration from the actions in your video and voices it.

How does Vorec's AI narrate a screen recording?

It analyzes your video, extracts each action (a click, typing, a page change), writes narration for each step, and syncs the voice to the action on screen. If a line needs more time, Freeze-Sync can hold the frame until it finishes.

Does Vorec have its own screen recorder?

Yes. The Vorec Recorder is a Mac app. It captures your clicks and actions while you record, so the narration follows your real steps. On Windows or Linux, record with any tool and upload the file.

Can an AI agent record the tutorial for me?

Yes. With the Vorec plugin, Claude Code or Codex plans the walkthrough and drives the Vorec Recorder on your Mac. You check the recording before anything is uploaded, then Vorec narrates it.

Can I edit what the voice says?

Yes. The script reads like text. Change a line and only that line is re-voiced.

Can I edit the video after the AI narrates it?

Yes. Vorec has a full editor. Edit any line of the script, add background music, zoom in on clicks, smooth the cursor, and add captions, callouts, blur, spotlight, shapes and backgrounds. You can also trim and crop the video before you export.

Do I need a microphone?

No. Vorec writes and voices the narration for you.

Can Vorec also create a written guide?

Yes. Vorec can generate a step-by-step guide with screenshots from the same recording.

Can I narrate in other languages?

Yes. Narration can be regenerated in supported languages on eligible plans, without recording again.

How is Vorec different from Loom?

Loom records your screen with your voice and shares a link. Vorec turns a recording into a finished tutorial: the AI writes the script, voices it in sync with each step, and can produce a written guide too.
